I made it to a new arena. there were two figures there; and old man, and a dark haired lady wearing a veil. They both had duel disks. I asked if they were my next challenge, and they confirmed it. But they said we couldn't duel yet. The other challenger has to arrive first.
Of course. There's a catch in each challenge. The first challenge took place in a field that worked to my opponents advantage. The second challenge was a riding duel. And the third challenge will be my toughest so far.
I have to have a tag duel.
With Saylo as my partner.
Damn it, this is gonna suck.

The Ultimate Evil Deity Vs. The Black Dog
I ran into the Black Dog's servant
beneath a large system over overhanging highways. He had a duel
runner in the shape of a black hound.
“I suppose you wanna duel me?” I
asked.
“Yes,” he said. “And throughout
this duel, I shall bring your secrets into the light in the name of
my alpha!”
“What, so that mangy mutt's your
alpha wolf?” I asked. “What does that make you, a worthless
omega?”
“I'd watch your tongue if I were
you,” he said. “Now, I assume you have a runner.”
“Of course I do,” I said. I grabbed
my duel disk, and the tentacles binding it to my wrist loosened. They
then stretched out, twisted and fused together until they took the
form of a bike. I had been practicing with the duel runner, and I was
ready to ride! As soon as we started, the Speed World 2 field spell
card took effect.
We took off, and as the rules went,
whoever rounded the first curve got the first turn. I wasn't letting
him have it. I sped up and drifted just in time, outmatching him. The
first move was mine.
“I draw!” I announced. “Next, I
summon Yig Dragon in attack mode!”
A grotesque, fire breathing dragon
appeared. It was level 4 with 1300 attack and 0 defense.
“I activate Yig Dragon's effect,” I
said. “When it's normal summoned, I can special summon a level 4 or
lower dragon-type monster from my hand, so I special summon Cthylla
Dragon!”
A six-eyed dragon with tentacles in
place of a tail appeared. It was a water attribute, with 1500 attack
and 1200 defense.
“I overlay these 2 level 4 monsters
to xyz summon the War Champion Of The Brute!” I said.
The monster that appeared was a knight
in black and red armor. It was a fire monster with 2200 attack and
1800 defense.
“I end my turn,” I said.
“My turn,” he said. We both gained
a speed counter. “I summon Silver Fang in attack mode!”
I wasn't expecting him to bring out a
monster that weak, but I knew he had something in store.
“I activate the effect of Warhound
Maximus from my hand!” he said. “I can special summon him when a
level three or lower beast type monster is normal summoned to my side
of of the field.”
A werewolf like creature bearing a
sword and shield appeared. It was level three with 1400 attack and 0
defense.
“Two level three monsters?” I
asked. “Planning an xyz summon?”
“Not yet,” he said. “First, I use
the effect of Warhound Gallymund in my hand. By discarding him while
I control exactly 2 beast type monsters, I can draw 2 cards from my
deck.”
“Okay then,” I said. “Anything
else you wanna do?”
“Now I'll build an overlay network
with my 2 monsters,” he said. “I xyz summon Warhound Felicius!”
A giant, four armed werewolf appeared,
wielding a scimitar in each hand. It had 2000 attack and 1300
defense.
“I use use one of its overlay units
to have it gain 400 attack for each monster you control until the end
phase!” he said. The beast's swords started glowing. “Now,
attack!”
“I activate the effect of Crawling
Chaos Dragon!” I said. “By discarding it to the graveyard, I can
prevent my monster from being destroyed during this battle.”
I lost 200 life points, but my monster
was okay.
“I set one card face down and end my
turn,” he said.
“Now I'll go,” said. Both our speed
counters increased to 2. “I attack with my War Champion!”
“I activate the trap card Warhound
howl!” he said. “By discarding a beast-type monster to the
graveyard, I can add half of it's attack points to a Warhound monster
I control. So I'll discard my 1600 attack point Warhound Hyrriloph to
increase Felicius' attack power by 800!”
“I thought you'd try to use a trap,”
I said. “I activate War Champion's effect! By using an overlay unit
when my opponent activates a spell or trap card that powers up their
monster's attack points, I can have him gain the same amount of
attack until the end phase!”
“What!?” he gasped.
“That's right!” I said. Now my
monster has the upper hand! End this!”
My War Champion pummeled his Warhound
into the ground, and his life points dropped by 200.
“Now, I set one monster face down and
end my turn,” I said.
“I'll show you!” he said. 3 speed
counters each. “I normal summon Warhound Manglijak!”
This time, it was a werewolf wearing
steampunk armor. It was level 3 with 1200 attack and defense.
“When I normal summon a Warhound
monster, I can pay 1000 life points to special summon Warhound
Hyrriloph from my graveyard!” he said. Another hound joined his
side of the field. “Now I tune my level 3 Warhound Manglijak to my
level 3 Warhound Hyrriloph to synchro summon my level 6 Warhound
Linosafcus!”
A brutal looking werewolf with a huge
bastard sword appeared. It had 2500 attack and 900 defense.
“I have my Linosafcus attack your War
Champion!” he said. The attack hit, my monster was destroyed, and I
took 300 damage. “Whenever Linosafcus destroys a monster in
battler, I can draw a card and then switch him to defense mode.
Then, I'll set 2 cards face down and end my turn.”
“I draw,” I said. We now had 4
speed counters each. “I flip summon my Tulzcha Dragon!”
A dragon surrounded by green flames
appeared before me. It was level 4 with 1600 attack and 200 defense.
“I activate its flip effect!” I
said. “Now I can special summon a dragon-type tuner monster from my
graveyard! Come back, Crawling Chaos Dragon!”
My monster appeared on my field, ready
to go.
“I tune my level 1 Crawling Chaos
Dragon to my level 4 Tulzcha Dragon to synchro summon my Nyarlathotep
knight!” I said.
A knight in dark armor appeared.
Tentacles wiggled from between the armored plates, and his sword
glowed with wicked flames. He was level 5 with 2100 attack and 1600
defense.
“Bad news for you buddy, but this guy
deals piercing damage!” I said. Now, Attack his Warhound!”
“I use the trap card Negate Attack!”
he said.
“Oh no you don't!” I said. “One
time only, I can discard a card to have Nyarlathotep Knight negate
the activation of a trap card and destroy it!” I discarded a card
and got rid of his trap.
“You've fallen for my decoy,” he
said. “I activate my second trap, Warhound Rage!”
“The hell does that do?” I asked.
“This card switches all my Warhound
monsters to attack mode and increases their attack point by 500!”
he said. “Now, the battle continues and your monsters are
destroyed!”
I lost the battle and 900 of my life
points.
“Since my monster destroyed your
card, I can draw a card from my deck,” he said.
“I set one card face down and end my
turn,” I said.
“I'll be going now,” he said. “I'll
have my monster attack your life points directly!”
“I activate the trap card Return Of
The Hidden Demon!” I said. “Now I can summon flip effect monster
from my graveyard in face down defense position, so I'll choose my
Tulzcha Dragon.”
My dragon appeared face down and
blocked his attack.
“I use my dragon's effect to revive
my Crawling Chaos Dragon in defense mode,” I said.
“Very well,” he said. “Since my
monster destroyed your monster in battle, I can draw another card and
switch it to defense position. Then I set a card and end my turn.”
“My turn,” I said. Speed counters
were now at six. “I activate Speed Spell- Angel Baton! Since my
speed counters are greater then 2, I can discard a card and draw 2
card. Then I activate Speed Spell- Synchro Defuse! Since I have 5 or
more speed counters, I can gain control of any synchro monster my
opponent controls until the end phase. So I'll be taking your
Warhound Linosafcus!”
“I activate the trap card Warhound
Cubs!” he said. “When control of a Warhound monster I control
switches, I can summon a number of Warhound tokens equal to the
number of monsters you now control, adding up to 2.”
The tokens had 1000 attack and 0
defense each. No problem.
“I tune my level 1 Crawling Chaos
Dragon to your level 6 Warhound Linosafcus to synchro summon my level
7 Nyarlathotep Berserker!” I said.
My new monster was similar in
appearance to the Knight, except it was bulkier, carried an ax, and
had its helmet removed to reveal a mass of writhing tentacles where
its head should be. It had 2400 attack and 2000 defense.
“I activate my Berserker's effect!”
I said. “By discarding a card, I can have him attack each of your
monsters once each. Also, he can negate any effects they have!”
A success. His tokens were destroyed
and he lost 2800 life points. He was now down to 4000.
“I end my turn,” I said.
“I draw,” he said. We were now at 7
speed counters. “I activate the effect of my Warhound Gantian. By
shuffling him and one other Warhound monster in my hand back into the
deck, I can add 2 Warhound monsters with the same name from my deck
to the hand. Next, I use my Speed Spell- Summon Speeder! Since I have
4 or more speed counters, I can special summon my level 4 Warhound
Frenzaeus!”
This monster had 1000 attack and 1900
defense.
“When I control a copy of Frenzaeus,
I can pay 1000 life points to summon another copy from my hand,” he
said. “Now, I tribute these 2 monsters to tribute summon my
ultimate monster, The King Of Hounds, Black Dog!”
It loomed over me. It was level 8, with
3000 attack and 1000 defense.
“Now, I discard my Warhound Hercaloin
to increase my monster's attack by 1500 until the end phase, but in
return it can't attack directly.
Well fuck. That wasn't good. I'm sure
you can guess what happened next; He destroyed my monster and I took
a shitload of damage.
“I end my turn,” he said.
“Okay then,” I said. Speed counters
were now 8. “I draw.”
“Hastur Dragon, eh?” he asked,
chuckling. I glanced at the card I had drawn. He was right.
“I activate Hastur Dragon's effect,”
I said. “By banishing him, I can draw 2 cards.”
I drew.
“Cthuga Dragon and Huitloxoptl
Dragon,” he said.
“How do you know!?” I demanded.
“You can't hide your secrets from
me,” he said. I looked up at the Black Dog, with its red eyes
staring hungrily down at me. Of course. A hound that can see your
secrets. That card allows him to see my hand.
“I summon Huitloxoptl Dragon to the
field!” I said. “And with its effect, I special summon the Hastur
Dragon I just banished!”
Hastur Dragon appeared. Level 4, wind,
1800 attack, 0 defense.
“Now, I'll pay 700 life points to
special summon Cthuga Dragon,” I said. “Now, I build an overlay
network with these 3 dragon-type monsters to xyz summon my Evil Deity
King King, Cthulhu God Dragon!”
My dragon appeared. Time to pit 2 gods
against each other.
“I use my dragon's effect to discard
a card and draw another card!” I said.
“Mordiggian Dragon,” he said.
“Okay, that's seriously starting to
annoy me,” I said. “Since I drew a dragon-type monster, Cthulhu
God Dragon gains 500 attack until the end phase! Also, when
Mordiggian Dragon is drawn outside the draw phase, I can shuffle him
back into my deck to draw 2 cards. Now, Cthulhu, attack!”
He lost 500 life points, but being a
Fear, his dog survived.
“I set 2 cards face down and end my
turn!” I said.
“I draw,” he said. 9 counters each.
“I use Speed Spell Final Attack! Since I have more than 8 speed
counters, my Black Dog's attack will be doubled this turn. Now,
destroy his worthless monster!”
3000 damage from that attack. Ouch. I
was almost knocked off course. Plus, my dragon was destroyed.
“I set one card face down and end my
turn,” he said.
“I draw!” I said. 10 counters. “I
activate the trap card Path To The Dark Summoning!”
“As expected,” he said. “You'll
use that card to summon the Intrusion Black Jacket in your hand,
combined with the Xyz Reborn you have face down and the Speed Spell
Power Baton in in your hand, you think you can win this turn.”
“Shut up and let me duel!” I said
angrily. “Due to Path's effect, I can normal summon a dark monster
without tributing. Come forth, Intrusion Black Jacket!”
The Giant Wasp I had won before
appeared.
“Next, I use the trap card card Xyz
Reborn!” I continued. “By using this card as an overlay unit, I
can bring back and xyz monster from my graveyard. Come on back, Evil
Deity King!”
The Cthulhu God Dragon reappeared.
“Now, I use Speed Spell- Power
Baton!” I said. “Since my speed counters are 6 or higher, I can
send my Burning Shadow Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to add
its attack power to the Intrusion Black Jacket, raising it's power to
5100!”
“And you expect this strategy to
work?” he asked.
“You think this is the extent of my
plan?” I asked. “You obviously aren't paying attention to Speed
World 2's effect. By spending 10 speed conters, I can destroy 1 card
on the field! Say goodbye to your dog!”
“I think not!” he said. “I
activate the effect of my trap card, Warhound's pride. Now,
beast-type monsters I control can't be destroyed by card effects or
targeted for attacks this turn!”
“I end my turn,” I said. I was
screwed, and I knew it.
“I draw,” he said. He was at 11
counters and I was at 1. “I pay 7 speed counters to draw a card.”
He could have easily destroyed on of my cards. He was toying with me.
“I summon Warhound Terracon,” he said.
This time, it was a level 4 monster
with 0 attack and 1800 defense.
“This monster switches to defense
mode upon summoning, and as long as it's in play, monsters can't
change their battle positions,” he explained. “Now, Black Dog,
destroy his Black Jacket!”
My giant bug was destroyed and my life
dropped to 100.
“I set one card and end my turn,”
he said.
“My move,” I said. He was at 5
counters, I was at 2. I had to skip my draw phase because of Power
Baton's effect.
“I activate my trap card, Shattered
Axe,” he said. “Now, during each of my standby phases, your
dragon will lose 500 attack points. You see, there's no way you can
win. You can't switch your monster to defense, and Even if you attack
my Terracon, your monster won't be able to change battle modes after
attacking. Then, on my turn, Your monster will be weakened and you'll
lose the duel! I've seen all your strategies and countered them
accordingly!”
He was right. It was hopeless. But, of
course, the old coot decided to pipe up. I heard his voice in the
back of my head.
“You can not lose here. Unleash the
power of your deck. Give in to the darkness, and awaken your
monster's true form.”
I don't know how I knew what to do, I
just did.
“I use Evil Deity King- Cthulhu God
Dragon to build an overlay network!” I yelled. My monster dove into
a portal of darkness. A new road of darkness appeared, and I drove
along it, following my monster into the darkness. I continued driving
along it, until a card of darkness appeared before me. I grabbed it
and summoned it.
I was suddenly back on the hanging
highway, right next to the other guy. He seemed confused. Then, when
he looked above us, his looked changed to terror.
“What- what is that thing!?” he
demanded.
“Behold, my ultimate monster!” I
said. “The Ultimate Evil Deity- Chaos God Cthulhu!”
A tall being flew above us on wings of
darkness. It was more muscular then anything I'd ever seen, and
tentacles grew from its face and a few other places. It had 3500
attack and 2000 defense. Cthulhu God Dragon and its overlay unit had
now become overlay units for this new monster.
“I activate my monster's effect!” I
proclaimed gleefully. “By detaching a number of overlay units up to
the number of face up monsters my opponent controls, I can have him
gain 1000 attack points for each unit removed.”
“5500 attack points?” he said,
awestruck.
“That's right!” I said. “Now,
Attack his Black Dog and end this!”
Cthulhu pulled back his fist and gave
that dog a king god sized knuckle sandwich.
The impact threw the guy off his bike,
and he exploded into a cloud of words and letters. Not quite what I
was expecting, but it kind of made sense. The Tale Weaver had created
a fake Fear and a Fake servant to test me. Stupid bastard.
I won the Black Dog's card. 2 down, 2
to go. Time to look for my next challenge.

Servant
There's some one new watching me. A tall man, with jet black hair and crimson eyes. It didn't take me long to figure out what he was.
I guess the Black Dog really does have servants, and it's decided to hunt as a pack.

The Hunter Or The Hunted
The Old Coot warned me about them. I've seen some of them before, but there's more I haven't seen yet. I'm talking, of course, about the Fears. And the one that's taken interest in me is the Black Dog. It's been watching me from a distance for a while now, and I know exactly why. It's because of Saylo. I know what I am and what he is. But I didn't tell him. I know what he has to do to reawaken the Vision. But I didn't tell him. I kept it all a secret, in order to challenge him. I didn't want to make things too easy for him. Because of my secrets, the Black Dog is after me.
But which one's the hunter and which one's the hunted? Does the Black Dog stand a chance against me? We'll just have to wait and see.
But which one's the hunter and which one's the hunted? Does the Black Dog stand a chance against me? We'll just have to wait and see.

Spreading The Chaos
This world is full of characters, like a story book. Fake individuals created by the Tale Weaver. Despite being fake, they still feel emotions, the same way I do. I've been toying with them, awakening their anger to move closer to my own goal. The Old Coot was right. The more rage I burn into the hearts of others, the stronger its power becomes.
It's only a matter of time now.
It's only a matter of time now.

The Gods Of Chaos Vs. The Intrusion
I entered a domed area, with intricate
symbols carved into the walls. My first challenger was waiting there
for me. He appeared as a cloud of letters and words, but then shifted
into the form of a man.
“Are you ready for your first duel?”
he asked.
“I'm always ready,” I said.
“I hope you realize that this duel
will be a bit different,” he said. “Each of your challenges will
have a unique twist. You see the field we are in right now will have
an effect on the duel. As long as we duel within the Summoner's Dome,
each player can normal summon or set up to twice per turn, but if you
go a turn without normal summoning at least once, you'll take 1000
points of damage during the end phase.”
“I can deal with that,” I told him.
“Just get a move on already.”
“I'll take the first turn!” he
said. “Since I can normal summon twice with the field's effect, I
summon Intrusion Grasshopper and Intrusion Millipede in attack mode!”
2 giant bugs appeared on his side of
the field. The grasshopper was level 1 with 0 attack and 500 defense,
and the millipede was level 1 with 1000 attack and 200 defense.
“I activate the effect of Intrusion
Grasshopper!” he said. By reducing Millipede's attack and defense
to 0, I can give control of it to my opponent.”
He removed the millipede from his duel
disk and tossed it over to me. I was confused as to why he would give
me his card, but after reading its effect, I understood perfectly.
The controller of Intrusion Millipede can't normal summon monsters
except for Intrusion cards. A clever strategy. He duels me in a field
where I'll take damage if I don't summon monsters, then he locks off
my ability to summon. Plus, he reduced its power to zero, so I can't
attack with it.
“I set one card face down and end my
turn!” he said.
“Alright then,” I said, drawing. I
couldn't normal summon anything, but special summoning was still and
option. Plus, I still had some other tricks up my sleeve. “I
activate the field spell card R'lyeh!”
The arena changed. We were on a sunken
island surrounded by a bubble of air.
“What is this place!?” the man
demanded.
“This is R'lyeh, the prison of
Cthulhu,” I said. “And since a new field spell card has been
activated, the effect of summoner's dome is null and void.”
“Impossible!” he gasped.
“Oh, it's very possible,” I said.
“Next, I use the effect of Hastur Dragon in my hand! By banishing
him, I can draw 2 cards.” I drew. “I now have to discard any
cards I drew that aren't dragon type monsters,” I said. “I drew
one spell card, so I have to discard it. Next, I use R'lyeh's effect.
I banish the Aphoom-Zhah dragon from my hand to increase Intrusion
Millipede’s attack power by 1000 until the end phase!”
“Shit!” he exclaimed.
“Don't go thinking I'm finished yet!”
I said to him. “I activate the spell card Dimensional Overlay! With
this card, I can special summon an xyz monster by using 2 banished
cards as overlay units. And the best part is, I can ignore any
summoning conditions, provided the banished monsters have a level
equal to the rank of my xyz monster! So now I'll overlay Hastur
Dragon and Aphoom-Zhah Dragon to xyz summon Evil Deity King- Cthulhu
God Dragon!”
It appeared before me, towering over
the other guy (you know, come to think of it, I have not clue what
his name was). Normally, Cthulhu God Dragon would require 3
materials, but Dimensional Overlay allowed me to overlook that rule.
“Next, by paying 700 life points, I
can special summon Cthuga Dragon to the field,” I said. “Now,
I'll have Intrusion Millipede attack Intrusion Grasshopper.”
The attack hit and he lost 1000 life
points.
“I activate the trap card Intrusion
Swarm!” the man said. “Since an Intrusion card was just sent to
the graveyard, I can special summon 2 level 1 Intrusion cards from my
deck. I special summon Intrusion Widow and Intrusion Wasp in defense
mode!”
A wasp and a spider appeared. The
spider had 100 attack and defense, and the wasp had 500 attack and
300 defense.
“I end my turn,” I said. The
Intrusion cards were fears, so I couldn't destroy them with my
dragons.
“In that case, I'll go,” he said.
“I'll start by activating the effect of Intrusion Wasp, allowing me
to inflict 300 damage to your life points!”
My life points dropped to 7000. We were
even now.
“Next, I use Intrusion Widow's
effect,” he announced. “Now I can reduce the attack power of 1
monster on the field by 500 until the end phase. I'll use that effect
on your Cthuga Dragon. Then, I activate the spell card Where Arf
Thou?! If I control a level 1 monster, I can add a level 1 monster
from my deck to my hand, but if I don't summon it this turn I'll lose
2000 life points. I'll use this effect to add Intrusion Moth to my
hand. Next, I summon Intrusion Moth in attack mode, and by using its
effect, I can destroy any Intrusion card in play to special summon an
Intrusion card from my hand. I'll destroy Intrusion Millipede and
special summon Intrusion Black Jacket!”
A giant wasp with jet black chitinous
armor appeared. It was level 7 with 2300 attack and 1500.
“I activate the effect of Black
Jacket,” he said. “At the cost of 1000 life points, I can target
an xyz monster on the field, and send all its overlay units to the
graveyard!”
The overlay units attached to my Dragon
vanished. That normally wouldn't be too big of a deal, if it weren't
for the fact that Dimensional Overlay comes with a bit of a drawback;
If the monster I summon with it has no overlay units, it gets
banished immediately. So my Evil Deity Dragon was now removed from
play.
“Next, I build an overlay network
with Moth, Widow, and Wasp,” he announced. “By overlaying these 3
level 1 monsters, I can xyz summon Intrusion Stag Beetle!”
His xyz monster had 900 attack points
and 1000 defense.
“I use Stag Beetles effect,” he
said. “Once per turn I can use one of its Overlay Units to have and
Intrusion monster I control gain 700 attack points. I'll use that
effect to power up my Black Jacket.”
His monster was powered up to 3000
attack points.
“Now, I'll use my Black Jacket to
attack your Cthuga Dragon!” he said. My dragon was destroyed and I
lost 2100 life points. “Then, I have my Stag Beetle attack
directly!” Another 900 damage. I was down to 4000. “I end my
turn,” he said.
“Finally,” I said, drawing. “I
activate the effect of R'lyeh. During my standby phase, If I have no
monsters in play, I can return a banished card to my graveyard to
draw one card. Next, I activate the spell card Darkfire Blast! Now, I
send the dark attribute Crawling Chaos Dragon and the fire attribute
Juk-Shabb Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to deal you 1000
damage.”
He was hit with the powerful fireball
and his life dropped to 5000. He was getting mad at me. Just like I
wanted.
“Next, I banish the dark attribute
Crawling Chaos Dragon and Evil Deity King- Cthulhu God Dragon, along
with the fire attribute Juk-Shabb Dragon and Cthuga Dragon to special
summon Burning Shadow Dragon!” I said. My strongest monster
appeared before me. “Next, I banish the fire attribute Aphoom-Zhah
Dragon to increase his attack by 1000 until the end phase. Now,
attack his Stag Beetle!”
I couldn't destroy his monster, but he
did lose 3100 life points, which really pissed him off. I don't think
he realized how much his anger empowers me.
“I set two cards face down and end my
turn,” I said.
“My turn!” he said, drawing his
card in an angry fashion. “I remove another of my Beetles overlay
units to power up Black Jacket to 3700! Now, crush his Dragon!”
“I activate Negate attack!” I said.
“This card immediately ends your battle phase!”
“I activate another of Black Jacket's
effects!” he said. “Since its attack was negated, you take 1000
points of damage. Then I switch my Stag Beetle to defense mode and
end my turn.”
“I draw,” I said. “I activate
Reliving Chaos. With this spell card, I can add a banished monster to
my hand. I'll use this effect on Juk-Shabb Dragon. Then, I normal
summon him to the field and use his effect. By offering him as a
tribute, I can inflict 1000 damage to your life points!”
He was getting madder. Just as planned.
“Now, I switch Burning Shadow Dragon
to defense mode and end my turn,” I said. Unfortunately, I can't
perform my battle phase the turn I activate Reliving Chaos.
“Time to make you suffer!” he said.
“I activate Stag Beetle's effect for the last time, raising Black
Jacket to 4400! Next, if my life points are less than 1000, I can xyz
summon my Intrusion Hyper Scorpion using my Stag Beetle as an Overlay
Unit.”
A giant scorpion appeared, with 2000
attack and 700 defense.
“I now attack your dragon with Black
Jacket, destroying it!” he said. My last line of defense was gone.
I was wide open. “I attack directly with my Hyper Scorpion!”
I took the hit and lost 2000 life
points.
“Now, I use Hyper Scorpion's effect!”
he announced. “When you take damage from a battle involving him, I
can detach an overlay unit to deal you another 800 points of damage!”
I was almost defeated. He had brought
me down to 200 life.
“I end my turn,” he said.
“My turn!” I said. “I activate
R'lyeh's effect, so by returning Evil Deity King to my graveyard, I
can draw another card. Next, I activate the spell card Last Chance At
Victory! If my life points are less then 1000 and I control no
monsters, I can draw 2 cards! Then, I use the trap card Return From
The Different Dimension! By paying half of my life points, I can
special summon as monsters as I can that half been removed form play.
Now, I summon Crawling Chaos Dragon, Aphoom-Zhah Dragon, and Cthuga
Dragon in attack mode.”
“What good will those weak monsters
do?” he asked. “They're not even strong enough to beat my
Scorpion, and even if they were, My Scorpion can't be attacked if I
control another Intrusion card.”
“Then I'll just have to do something
about that, won't I?” I said. “I activate the spell card Star
Changer! Now I can reduce Aphoom-Zhah Dragon's level by 1. Now, I
tune level 1 Crawling Chaos Dragon to my level 4 Cthuga Dragon and my
level 3 Aphoom-Zhah Dragon to synchro summon my level 8 Nyarlathotep
Dragon!”
A dragon of immense power appeared. Its
body was jet black, and was covered in fangs and eyes. It had 2800
attack and defense.
“Now, I use R'lyeh's effect! By
banishing Azathoth Dragon from my hand, I can have Nyarlathotep
Dragon gain 1000 attack points until the end of the turn.”
“It won't matter!” he said. “It's
still not strong enough to defeat my Black Jacket!
“I'm not planning to attack Black
Jacket!” I said.
“What do you mean?” he demanded.
“Once per turn, by discarding a card,
I can have Nyarlathotep Dragon destroy one face up monster you
control!” I said. “So I'll use this effect to wipe out your
Intrusion Black Jacket. And with that monster out of the way, your
Scorpion is fair game! Attack!”
He lost. I saw rage and hatred fill his
face as he faded away. I accumulated a lot of anger during that
fight. At this rate, I'll be able to reawaken its power in no time.
The duelist left behind his Intrusion Black Jacket. I guess that's my
reward for winning a duel. Are you listening old coot? I'm doing
good, and as soon as I complete my challenges, I'll show you that I'm
a much better duelist than that clown Saylo!

I Have Returned
Everything's been explained to me by the old coot. This is a new tournament, put together by the Tale Weaver. I have to win 4 duels. I encountered Saylo earlier, and faced him. I threw the match. I wasn't really taking the fight too seriously. Just testing him. I could have easily won, but that's not important right now. What's important is finding and completing my challenges. My new deck should be more than capable of defeating whatever opponents I come up against. Let's do this.
